Subscribers to our weekly newsletter (see the box to the right if you haven’t subscribed yet) have heard about the recent trip to Albuquerque to purchase an 18,000 piece collection. Here is the text from the newsletter and some bonus pictures (click on the pictures to view them full size).
I have just returned with my youngest son, Marcus, from a road trip to Albuquerque to purchase one of the largest collections we have seen in a long time. The collection contains over 18,000 LPs in 400 boxes and weighs in at around 5 tons. The collection covers most genres with a highlight on classical, rock and jazz, plus an abundance of audiophile pressings. We have just begun wading through the collection and will be spending the next several months uploading them. We already have several hundred up on site, and will be adding right through the holiday and weekend. Below are a few snapshots from our epic journey in which Marcus did all the driving and I just acted as co-pilot on our way through Winslow, Flagstaff, Barstow, the Mojave Desert, Bakersfield and Fresno.
