“Vinyls” ???? *#@! – Ain’t No Such Word

July 3, 2012 By John

Just to set the record straight for all the folks out there in record land, there is no such word as “vinyls.” Vinyl is the correct word. Just as there are no sheeps that we know of, there is also no vinyls. There should also be no apostrophe tables (‘table), but they seem to be multiplying in the pages of the hi-fi magazines – it should be turntable. If you are spinning vinyls on your apostrophe tables, you may well have a problem.
