We have an almost complete set of the original Absolute Sound Magazine when it was still a true high-end journal. They stretch all the way back to Volume 1 Number 1 from Spring 1973 (rare cover art version). The first four issues are bound in the original outer protective plastic binder along with issues 5 through 8, which come in a second white plastic binder. We then have all the small format issues up to 115 with the exception of issues 20, 28,29,30, 95 and 105. All the pages and covers are intact, although some have obviously been read several times. This set reveals unique insights as to how the High End has evolved over the past forty years including many in-depth reviews of Decca SXLs, EMIs plus of course many reviews of LPs on publisher Harry Pearson’s Superdisc list. We have seen the first issue alone sell for $250 and many individual titles selling in the $25-$40 range making this a unique opportunity to purchase an almost complete set of this great reference work. $950 (or best offer) plus shipping.
