A Goldmine Of Sealed LP’s
It’s hard to believe that well into the 21st century there are so many great condition LPs still surfacing that have remained un-played, some a long as 40 years or more. So you may imagine my surprise when I recently stood in front of 40,000 or more sealed albums, the most recent of which was put in storage back in 1979 and all vertically stored in shelving units. To say I was ‘gob-smacked’ is to put it mildly.
A fine black dust had settled everywhere, so a face mask was the first order of the day (breathing equipment would have been even better). Several split fingers, a hunched back and five days later I had emerged with thousands of great LPs which Kevin and I have been firing up on the site and will be for the next few months. Be sure to check us out each day as tons of great stuff appears on the front page.
As they say it never rains but it pours….. We now have in the pipeline an almost complete set of Mobile Fidelity, Nautilus and DCC LPs that we will hopefully be purchasing shortly, plus other trips planned to view collections. When we will get time to type in all these gems, I’m not sure. Stay Tuned. Cheers, John
